What does the recruitment process at ARP Ideas look like?

Permanent development of ARP Ideas means that we are regularly looking for new passionate IT professionals that would fit our team. Due to the fact that transparency is a core value for us, we have decided to share what our recruitment process looks like and what you should prepare for.

The first stage preceded with the selection of resumes is call, during which we present the company, our needs, ask about your availability, professional ambitions and we check whether the candidate’s expectations and ours are convergent.

Technical task

After a phone conversation, we will ask you to perform a test on the Codility platform and/or tasks in the field of knowledge and skills specific to a given position. A positive result will be an important signal for us that you have a predisposition to start working with us and continue to develop your programming skills as a member of our team.

The first part of the interview will be led by our HR specialist. Its purpose is to precisely define your expectations: financial conditions, type of contract, benefits, work system and others.

Additionally, we will verify your level of English. Due to the high number of projects carried out abroad, it is a crucial skill for us.

The second, technical part of the conversation will be led by one of our developers. He will ask questions related to potential areas of cooperation with our company. You can find some examples of categories that we discuss during the interview for a .NET developer below:

  • C # /. NET Framework,
  • Testing,
  • SQL / T-SQL,
  • OOP,
  • JS / TypeScript,
  • Project patterns,
  • Algorithmics,
  • Case Study.

This is the last stage of recruitment, after which we will make the final decision. You will be informed about it regardless of the result.

What do we expect while recruiting at ARP Ideas?

Be honest and open

If you do not know how to answer a question, say it directly. None of us knows everything, and sometimes the answer simply slips one’s mind. It is okay with us.

Talk a lot about yourself

During the recruitment process, we want to learn as much as possible about you. Therefore, do not hesitate to talk about your skills, successes, failures, ambitions and goals. If you have any passion, we would also like to hear something more about it.

Ask questions

If you have any doubts or want to know something more about a specific topic, ask questions, we will be happy to answer them.

Be yourself

As we mentioned at the very beginning of this post, we value transparency very much. Therefore, do not pretend to be someone you are not. Sooner or later, it will come out during the interview or during the first weeks of work.
